Now I have ended up with 2 iTunes Media Folders. I thought one would
overwrite the other.

Eleanor - if you have an external drive large enough to hold your
music folder, why not try copying the iTunes media folder from your
Macbook Air and pasting it in to the iTunes media folder on your Pro
Machine? -
