Seems I bought my Mac Mini in the nick of time. I’ve been wanting to upgrade the memory of the iMac I’ve owned for the last 3 years for some considerable time so I found the cash to do it.
I’ve never used the headphones out port of the iMac much but knew it didn’t work. Got the tech to check it and discovered that the case of the Headphones output not working was the logic board itself, $800 for a new one. Well the replacement of the logic board will not be happening but the upgrade of memory will - can always use memory for something else of course and I can always use other sound devices on the iMac and forget about the built-in headphones jack - so time to look at buying another iMac or something different down the track and hoping the iMac will last the distance, perhaps I’ll buy another Mac Mini or buy some accessaries for the current one I just bought and retire the iMac to the recycler. ********** Dane Trethowan [email protected] Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to [email protected] You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at the list's public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/>.
