I'm using clamxav¬. it's fully accessible and is updated I believe every day, so it looks. I have it set to scan my system every Sunday at midnight and it does not even take up a foot print when it does this. You can do a lot in terms of the way to scan and how. I set up cmd shift s to scan any folder/file in the finder.
