Hi Chris and All, I found that this was set as default, just checked it out 
when Chris mentioned it.  I found it in the Menu under Options and the option 
for me was disabled extended voice over compatibility.  Thanks Chris for 
broadening my knowledge here.  I also succeeded in changing the default e-mail. 
 Now do I need to have an iCloud e-mail account?  Presumably I do for 
synchronising across devices.
