I recommend the book “Mastering the Macintosh.” It’s written specifically for blind and low vision users.
The book devotes a whole chapter to pages later in the book after dealing with the finder, male, safari, and so forth. The book is available in the ibooks store for free. It was originally written for the Veterans Administration, and given to blind veterans; so the author decided to let everyone have it for free. Good luck, and happy typing. Onward!
