I have this turned on but I haven't a clue how it works or if I have to do some form of registration. My niece lost her iPhone and that got me to thinking and I asked her to look up if she could find mine. To do this she logged in to iCloud with my details and she did say it was showing up but interestingly while there was a map she culd only roughly tell me where I was with the phone. I was at my sister's appartment where there are 12 appartments but on the map it did not even show up the exact location but showed some roads nearby.
