In seems that innocence will never escape ugliness and hatred. Our world has
changed profoundly with those images of the collapse of the twin towers.
Certainly we pray for the dead and injured--and their families and friends.

We need also try to find a measure of sanity and peace somewhere in these
moments of crises. We owe this much to the victims for their sacrifice, that
somehow we keep the ugliness from happening again.

Hatred begets horror. We should pray for us all to shed ourselves of these
afflictions--on behalf of our children--who are indeed innocence itself.
