I only pointed out to this list the existence of this article, where it is said that -- and I quote: Apple retail stores are still opening, but there are no plans at present to open stores outside the United States at this point in time." Apple CEO Steve Jobs said the company's retail strategy would be refined "based on how the first stores do." However, there are no plans to expand the retail strategy beyond the US, at least for now. Apple focuses on a few things at a time," Allen Olivo, Apple's senior director of retail marketing, told MacCentral. "For now, we want to concentrate on a relatively few stores and make sure we get them right. He recommends that Apple customers outside the U.S. check out their local resellers or visit their Apple's online store. End quote. Based on these statements from the CEO and the Senior Director of Retail Marketing for Apple, I would say that a Canadian Apple store is a long way off, wouldn't you? That's all I was intimating when I suggested to "not hold your breath". Heck, they may open in Europe, the UK, or Japan, as their first foreign Applestore, with Canada being somewhere further down the list.
