Happily, Bell's buggy software is not required to use DSL, because OS X supports the PPPoE protocol right out of the box. Go to the Network settings in your System Preferences, fill out your Sympatico username and password, and you're all set. Once you've set everything up, you can toggle your connection on and off using the included Internet Connect application, or you can have the computer connect transparently whenever it needs to.
