<quote> What topics may not be discussed? The list is short: Never post a link for Apple Service Manuals. Apple has a policy of shutting down sites the post such links, and Apple has people on some of our lists, so posting such links contributes to the sites posting this information being shut down. Nobody wins when that happens. </quote> ...hence the reason I asked for it *privately* off-list. And, apologies to Evan, but I've taken apart and reassembled more systems than a lot of authorized Apple techs -- and I've taken this particular model apart before, as well. But, last time, I broke a tab off the case. I wanted to avoid doing that again, so I wanted to see how Apple takes it apart. I guess I "stole" the info on that page of the tech manual. <shrugs> I wasn't attempting to start a firestorm over this. And, Evan, your input to the list *is* appreciated. Never hurts to have more brains around. :-) Thanks, Lincoln -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
