I have just bought myself an Apple LaserWriter 8500 and, as a result, have no further need for the Apple LaserWriter IIg I had been using. The Apple 8500 has a duplex attachment which will allow me to produce our MUG newsletter double-sided, saving us the monthly expense of having double-sided duplication done through an outside agency.
Anyway, the LaserWriter IIg is for sale but I would prefer not to have to ship it as it is extremely heavy and the cost of shipping would probably make it prohibitively expensive.
I am therefore looking for someone who is prepared to come and pickup the unit or, alternatively, someone within the GTA to whom I would be prepared to bring the printer at no additional charge.
This printer has the maximum available 32 Megs of RAM and can be used either with the standard AppleTalk cabling or set up on an Ethernet network using it AAUI connector.
There is a toner cartridge in the printer right now, not sure how much life it has left, and I have at least one fully recharged toner cartridge which I can supply.
Asking price is $200.00 Cdn without the full toner cartridge or $240.00 complete with the cartridge.
