Welcome, James, to lem-canada where everryday is a slow and pleasant day!
I, too, have a 9500 which I mean to upgrade eventually but I keep running into severe cash flow problems so it keeps getting put off. (an 8500 as well but it's bustigated)
The research I've done turned up great info in the XPostFacto docs and the forum at OWC:
http://forum.macsales.com/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=fdf69b506b4298e7a696eb5e5f4a1b2c
As for parts you can try the forum at ehMAc trading post: http://www.ehmac.ca/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=9
or sign up for the powermac swap list at lowendmac (and of course eBay)
The only advice I'd dare give anyone (except, by all means, get a Mac!) is if you're upgrading one of these 85/95 series towers try to do as much inside at one time as you can 'cause it's sure a pain to open up!
Good luck -Ken
