Thanks to all who responded with disposal suggestions or offers. I'm replacing them with a business Epson and a Canon wide photo printer, so in two or three years these will be available....gotta keep up!

In Toronto you can drop up to three computer type objects off at the
Recycling spots. A waste, I know but that way they don't get in the
landfill.
I've got three myself or I would take a shot at them.
