My $0.02:

I'm highly suspicious of that $10 place.  CIRA wholesale price is $12.50
per year plus $1000 registration. What's the catch there, I wonder -
they're selling well below cost.

I've had very good experience with domainsatcost.ca.  Had a screwup with
my registrant type and they were very good in getting it sorted out with
CIRA.
