Well, I don't know MacDirect but I think you'll find far better prices 
at NCIX (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?minorcatid=1063). I 
recently check a lot of prices for building a PC from scratch (don't be 
afraid, I love and use Macs! ...) and they were cheaper 90% of the time. 
I bought all my parts from them and built a "killer" PC for less than 
$1000 instead of more than 1200 if I have bought elsewhere. And they 
have a great web site with forums, customer reviews AND a very efficient 
customer service too.
I am also used to buy from www.tigerdirect.ca and www.cendirect.com too 
because of their prices.
