For a big ticket item, it's probably a better deal, since the shipping might be lower than international courier rates, and having the GST taken care of at purchase will definitely speed things up at the border. For items under $25 or so, it's not such a good deal, because their shipping can be slightly higher and they always charge the GST/HST even on items that would probably come through the mail without a charge (GST is not supposed to apply under $20), and the rate is 15% for NS, NB, and NL, even on books that would be taxed at 7% in Canada. -- Michael -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
