Hi all,

I am immigrating - fleeing :) - to Canada from the US. Is there anything I need to know about bringing my machines to Canada? Also, I will be buying a bunch of new equipment when I get there. Anything I need to know before I do that?

Thanks,
Mark.

Best way to check prices here compared to the US is to use either Tiger Direct or ncix. com and switch back and forth between the two. Neither have Mac but they have truckloads of peripherals. Apple adjusts their prices according to the exchange rate now and then and, as far as I am concerned, prices are the same or better up here.

Just a tip, if you can set up a Directv subscription before you come up, you'll be way better off. Satellite sucks up here, IMHO, and directv is the only way to go. Other than that, lots of anti-freeze and long-johns ! (Just kidding.)

Welcome!
