Personally, I don't like the switch. It seems that it will dilute the Macs we all love and have grown up with.

Time will tell. In the meantime, prices have bee affected more by the Mac Mini than any other single
change (including the switch away from SCSI)

Prices have fallen dramatically on used "eveything". I've seen DP 1Ghz machines go for $1000.00 on ebay basically one quarter of their original selling price over a period of only 3 years. It's great if you're buying, not so much so if you're selling and were the original owner. The value within the used product still remains
but, its not being reflected in the prices.

Great time to buy if you are new to Macs or want an inexpensive 2nd or 3rd machine.
