OK, I got a pair of not matching 32meg DIMMs, two pairs of matching 16 meg DIMMS (not all 4 matching though) and a pair of not matching 16meg DIMMs.
32 meg DIMMs are in A1 and B1, matched pairs of 16meg in A2/B2 and A3/B3, unmatched pair of 16meg in A4/B4. Here's the output from the DIMM configuration and Interleave util from apple. The readme says it works with the 7300 so i have no idea why it says it's Unknown. Total Memory = 160 Megs in Unknown PowerMac: Meg/Meg 'Interleaved' ---/--- x0/x0 -> / --- x1/x1 -> 8/ 8 Interleaved x2/x2 -> 8/ 8 Interleaved x3/x3 -> 8/ 8 Interleaved x4/x4 -> 8/ 8 Interleaved x5/x5 -> 8/ 8 Interleaved x6/x6 -> 8/ 8 Interleaved x7/x7 -> 32/ 32 Interleaved x8/x8 -> / --- x9/x9 -> / --- x10/x10 -> / --- x11/x11 -> / --- x12/x12 -> / --- Doesn't look right to me. It's showing 12 slots instead of 8 and nothing in slot 0 (Which is labled A1 on the logic board.) I really don't get the x7 line because that's a 16meg DIMM. Or does this app's output not match up with what's actually printed by the DIMM slots? *grumble* If what's printed on the actual thing starts with 1, you ought to bloody well make your program's output start at 1 also. *grumble* :P __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
