I recently obtained a 12" PCI PC Compatibility card (P166, 32MB RAM,
passthrough cable), and I have some questions regarding it.
1) Has anyone been able to get it to work with a DOS partition?
2) How do you get the networking to work properly?
3) Is it always this slow? :> I've set up a couple of P166 systems before,
and they seemed to be faster than this with Win98 SE. This is the reason I
asked question 1, in the hopes that maybe it would speed things up.
4) How to you crete a DOS partition under MacOS?
Currently I'm trying this out with PC Setup 1.6.4, on a 9500/200 running
MacOS 8.1 on a 1GB drive, MacOS 9.1 on a 4.3GB drive, and the DOS images on
another 4.3GB drive.
I've tried PCSetup 2.1.7f, but have had more trouble with it than 1.6.4.
Once I get 1.6.4 working, then I'll back up what I'm doing and try the
update again.
