Since Apple has decided to block using download managers lke Getright to download the OS 9.x.x and newer updates, they've made it impossible for many people stuck on dialup to download them.
Are there any mirror sites with the files? Particularly the 9.2.1 update. I have the 9.2.2 update because I kept the original downloaded file instead of trashing it after copying the files out of the image. OS9 Helper will only work with the original self mounting image files. :( www.os9forever.com I did find one site with it, but it's SLOW and also in Australia. ftp://planetmirror.com/pub/apple/English-North_American/Macintosh/System/Mac_OS_9.2.1_Update/ I want to try bumping the OS 9.1 backup system on the small drive in my 7300 to 9.2.1 then 9.2.2 to see how it works, test all my apps etc. If all goes well I'll do it to the main system on the big drive. Everything I've read about where there's been no nasty problems, it's been reported to be a bunch faster. :) ===== "Truth is, after all, a stronger edifice than a lie.
