Videovision was made for nubus and pci macs. It allows captures at
640x480x29.97fps. I had a pci version. It had two video and sound inputs and
one output capable of outputting full motion video to your vcr. There are
many video capture solutions on nubus and pci macs. The videovision sold for
$10,000 in its day, but can be had now for between $25 and $100 on ebay or
privately. Targa made an excellent card. ATI made an Xclaim VR which had
composite input and s-video output. Those are available private for $20 or
so.
Pinnacle made a line of video capture cards for the Mac. There are others as
well.
