Hi, I have a PC running Win XP and a Mac SE30 with system 7.5.3 and I want to
network them together. They both have ethernet and I have them connected with
a crossover cable. What I need to know is what settings to use on each
machine. Can anyone help?

You'll either need PC MacLan which is an Appletalk client/server package for
Windows, or DAVE from Thursby software which allows Macintosh computers to
access Windows networking services. Try here for more information:

A ftp server would also work, Dave may have problems with newer windows networking on xp, dont know.
null modem cable and term programs would also do the job among others.
