I use OpenOffice on my Windows machine running XP Home, and save in Word Windows 6.0 format, and use a file converter to translate to .RTF or Word 5.1 Mac.

Try saving in .RTF format first, though.

Nisus Writer 4.x is free for 68K users, if I remember correctly. It saves in .RTF format, which is, in my opinion, better than .DOC. However, I use OS 7.5.3, OS X Jaguar, Windows XP Home, Windows Millenium Edition and SuSE Linux 9.1 on my various systems, so I have to have full compatibility across the board.

Hope this helps,
Caleb

Ok, I have a Performa 637CD with Mac OS 7, and I need to find a word
processor that can read .doc files, because the performa is the only
one connected to a printer (SW 2500). Is there any free processors
that could do this?
