I've used neat alcohol (IPA, Isopropal Alcohol) to clean scuffs off monitor cases, and also used it with a green scourer to clean off felt and ball pen marks. It can wear away the plastic surface and leave it a lot whiter than the surrounding area. MEK, Methyl Ethyl Keytone, was also good for getting off ball pen marks, but not sure if its still easily available, haven't used it for some time. MEK would also defat the skin leaving it white, not good. The only 100% way to clean up casings is to have them resprayed. The company I used to work for did this with monitor cases for Sun Microsystems, they had to be refurbed 'as new'.
