Hello all.

Genuine Puzzlement:

I acquired a lovely 7200 in great condition, expanded the RAM to 256MB
and whacked 9.1 on it. As the purpose of the exercise was to create a
low-cost Web/Mailserver, I added a Mac (OHCI) compatible PCI-USB Card,
USB Software Support 1.4.1 and installed Alcatels ADSL Software on it.
So far, so easy.

Now comes the weird part: Neither Alcatels Speedtouch nor my Logitech cm
seems to be working. I tried all 3 PCI slots with the card, but no avail.

The Modem just blinks a couple of times and does nothing, the Quickcam
is not being recognised, neither by the quickcam proggies nor by apple
profiler, while the card is being seen.

Does anybody know what I might have overlooked?

As I quite like the 7200 due to its low resale value I've set them up
before for friends of mine and never had probs with a PCI-USB card. Any
ideas???

Dirk
