I sent this reply some days ago - but my mail servers have had
problems so here it goes again
Hi,
It's not a scsi(610s) is it? Umax does not list a 610c. The software
for the scsi or parallel version is Vistascan 3xxx or the more
professional version Magicscan 4xxx (scsi only I think). I have an Astra
2400s and both applications work with it but I prefer Magicscan as it's
much better.
Both apps can be downloaded from the www.umax.co.uk site - or that's
where I got them - but the download for Magicscan is quite large and not
too easy to get at. To find it go to the site and choose support - then
choose 'current drivers' from the lefthand column - then from the three
dropmenus choose a Mirage 2se and 'do not search' for the two lower
dropmenus. This will bring you to the segment downloads page for the
english and german version. I think you'll like Magicscan if it will work
with the scanner.
To get vistascan just choose 610s as your scanner instead.
Cheers
Pete
