Andrew, You say the drive is fine so you are using it on another machine! I would suggest that you try unplugging your G3 and removing the pram battery for a little while, overnight should be long enough then when you replace it (does this machine have a CUDA button) press the CUDA for a few seconds. How many HDs do you have can you boot another machine from one of them? If none of the above helps try removing all of the memory you should at least get a startup chime Let me know what happens Good luck John -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:mac-uk@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:mac-uk-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:mac-uk-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lowendmac.com> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> --------------------------------------------------------------- >The Think Different Store http://www.ThinkDifferentStore.com ---------------------------------------------------------------
