Hi Darren,
There is a utility called MacLink or Dataviz - I can't remember
which - which will convert the file creator for an Excel spreadsheet file
to make it open as a Claris Works spreadsheet file.
Another utility which you can use in conjunction with ResEdit is
FileTyper - or a similar name. You need to change the file type and
creator from Excel to Claris - I think the file type is CWSS and the file
creator is BOBO - or the other way round - couple of years since I tried
it....
Apple works should open Claris files.
