Cheap Torx sets are available at any cheapo tool shop or car accessory shop
and come with assorted screwdriver bits for only a quid or two. If you have
a welder (or know anyone who has, or have a local garage or whatever) ask
them to weld the appropriate bit to a "T" piece of scrap 1/4" bar or
whatever they have in the scrap bin. Mine has replaced batteries in at least
a dozen Classics, SE's and Pluses. For Gawd's sake avoid Snap On as they
will charge more than a dozen Classics are worth!

Incidentally can anyone help with my problem:

A 8600/200 which has stopped starting(?). I get only the floppy with the
question mark and no further. If I insert a floppy disk it will show the
happy mac but go no further- If I insert the System CD (9.0.4) it will not
recognise it. I have done all I can including resetting the Cuda chip and
resetting the logic board as per instructions on Apple Service Source CD but
she will refuse to accept anything.

I assume that this is a software problem but am totally stumped. Suggestions
are invited.

Regards

Don
