Hi

Have one of these beasts and having one or two SCSI problems. When the
drive is coupled to a 6100 with an internal SCSI hard drive, it works
fine - if slowly. When coupled with a 5500 with an internal IDE hard
drive, it only works sometimes - requiring switching on and off of the
mac external drive enclosure in which the drive is fitted. From what I've
read so far, this seems to be a particular difficulty with Macs fitted
with IDE hard drives. The more I read, the more confused I get. Can
anyone on this list help? Never mind the voodoo, simply tell me how the
jumpers on the Yamaha should be set so that a PowerMac 5500 with an
internal IDE hard disk will recognise the Yahama without problems.

Thanks

David
