Oops I forgot to log onto the network time server this morning! Yeah,
it's a real pain and every time I check on the Apple website it still
lists the solution as setting the date every time I boot - which I
think is a bit of a joke after paying over a grand for a computer that
I have to tell the date and time to every morning.

I was thinking of installing 7.1 on it since that's the only version of
the Mac OS that I have on floppy disk. I have 7.6 on a IIci that I had
thought about copying over but it has all the PowerBook stuff removed
from it to save memory space so probably wouldn't work. I have been a
bit worried that perhaps the drive was actually destroyed - think it'll
arrive tomorrow so should find out then and if it is I'll be in touch!
I'm going to try and kit it out with an internal modem so I can get
e-mail on the go with it unless it has a PC card slot which I've heard
mixed reports about. Always thought the 500 series looked cool but
never viewed one beyond pics on a website!

Completely off the topic of the Powerbook, can anybody recommend any
good value web hosting companies?

Cheers,
Graeme
