I am afraid I am still on about this subject and if my comments are a little on the political side I will apologies now but listers please read on.
I am able to see where Nathan is coming from as some software has problems with the "" sign. And agree with him regarding using UK after or before the value is a good option to use when referring to UK pounds.

It is the Pound Sterling price - some internet software cannot handle such complex ideas as pound signs, and this is what they mangle them to. To get around it some people type UKP instead of the pound sign.

Roger below is I suspect, referring to to the values being Australian dollars. Then to use the currency rate figures for the day in order to work out UK pounds value of item listed. Unfortunately this is not explained very well by the listers who's examples I have taken from our Mac-UK listings which I would have thought should be in UK currency.

I am perhaps about to make a fool of myself yet again.
I see some times at the end of sentences a value of an item which has been purchases from some source. It says =A320 or something like that instead of Pounds Stirling.
Examples: " about =A360/year for 300MB and five domains " " Their prices start at =A320pa for 15mb." " stuff goes for peanuts these days - I've seen 'em fail to go for =A35.00!= "
How do I find out what value is being refered to in Pounds Stirling.

Check the business news in your daily paper or ask at a bank.
Here's another example: send up to A3500 instantly: what is A3500 if it is UK pounds why not say so as we are listing in the UK not Australia.

Just found this service from NatWest which enables you to send up to=20 =A3500 instantly to/from any email address or mobile phone number for = 20p=20 per transaction. After I registered and used it I noticed a disclaimer=20=
saying it did not support Mac users but I had no problems using it with=20=
