I don't know why I keep getting this mail bounced when the first one went fine and prompted quite a lot of activity I note...... It is plain text and going to the right mail address and from the right mail address. How odd. Fourth time lucky....or this may have been a very brief acquaintance :0/

Subject: iTunes genre settings and iCal settings/backups

Does anyone know (or care) if it is possible to edit the genres list in iTunes. It seems to pick up every silly genre type that someone dreams up and attaches to a file. I currently have inherited genres which have doubled the default list length, including such things as Post-Classical-Indie-Rock and even some spelling mistakes.

On a similar tack, I am curious to know if there is a good way to back up to text the contents of one's diaries and then reset iCal to zero, so that when backing up to iDisk one is not creating a huge monster of a file, mostly redundant?

And last (sorry to go on), is there a quick way to input info in iCal for an all day event. At the moment it seems I need to create a diary event at some random time, open the INFO window and change it to an all day event there, which is tedious.

Drew

P.S.

I did not mean to start an age riot or presume any level of seniority. I just think it is good manners to introduce oneself when turning up for the first time, and to let people know that I am not a pimply youth with no Mac track record, even though I may type like one :0)
