Hi all, Wondering if anyone can bail me out here...
I only have Internet access via a Windows PC at present. My ancient Mac is still running 7.6.1. I've now obtained a Swann MacSurfer modem for it - but unfortunately all the set-up files etc. are archived, and require a later version of StuffIt Expander than I have. The only later version that I have been able to obtain of StuffIt requires OS8.6 to install. Does anyone know whether I can get hold of an 'intermediate' version of StuffIt that might help - or am I stuck until I can manage to upgrade the system software? Are there any other ways out of this predicament? The Swann site has drivers, manuals and a recommendation to install FreePPP for 7.6.1 on it - but I've only got a Windows machine to download files to, and so far have had very little luck successfully transferring Mac files over that have been downloaded on the PC - so if anyone has any advice on how to do that, it would be much appreciated.
