Can't speak for Pentagon of course but the US agencies do use quite a few
Macs...At a fairly recent Conference in the US I was across from the NASA
stands and I nearly fell over when I saw them set up with G3 and G4
PowerBooks...Didn't see a single PC at their stand the entire time!

Besides, with OS X, the scientific community and security fields have a
better platform than before and it would make sense that the continuous and
open information about ports from other *nix platforms to X would seem to be
in agreement...especially with issues such as pgp or encryption software,
etc...
