Last night I had a call from my daughter. (She and her Mac are 150 miles
away so I cant tinker with it).

She had bought on Saturday a USB scanner from John Lewis to connect to her
Powerbook 233MHz G3 with two pc card slots.

Her Mac has a USB card and a Firewire card installed in the slots.
The scanner is a Canon Lide 20 Scanner and takes its power from the USB
port.

Needless to say she cant get the scanner to mount.

So I can help her I would be interested to know if you:

Q1 can you run such a scanner from a Powerbook 233MHz G3 using a USB pc
slot card?

Q2 could share with me any problems youve experienced in trying to use
a USB scanner from a USB card on a G3 in this way.

Grateful for any help advice or guidance you may wish to share.

Regards
Bob B:-)
