I use gBrowser (http://homepage.mac.com/schwarz/) as a thumbnail-oriented image viewer; its very good, almost quick enough (my Windoze computer is so much faster in UI stuff, and I can't REALLY afford a new iBook G4 sadly, so I'm stuck with my lovely iBook G3 700).
Problem is, since my last CCC backup, gBrowser has stopped working. I have deleted the app and re-downloaded, deleted the .plist, repaired permissions, and done a fsck -y...but gBrowser still bounces a couple of times in the dock and then gives the '...has unexpectedly quit...' error.
The crash log gives:
Command: gBrowser PID: 542
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0xbff7fffc
plus loads and loads more....if it would help, I can email that across, but obviously I don't want to clog everyone else up with 53 pages of _malloc_data_fish = 1.44.2!
Whats the next obvious thing to try? The only things I can think that could have done anything to the system in a week are me trying to install TinkerTool and some theme manager that didn't really work...can these things bugger other progs up? Are they likely to have done?
I have no other programs like Diskwarrior or whatever.
Any thoughts?
TIA,
Dave
