Hi Everyone, I have just come into possession of an Apple IIe from ca. 1984 and only one previous owner (Company I work for) similar to the description at:
<http://www.theapplemuseum.com/index.php?id=tam&page=personal&subpage=apple2 _2e&skin=specs> It starts fine and has an Apple Monitor (monocrome) as well as a floppy but when turned on it only gives me the Apple II text at the top of the page and then searches the floppy for something which it obviously doesn't find but I cannot go any further or interrupt the floppy. In the manuals it suggests pressing reset button to get the floppy to stop spinning but this does nothing...any ideas? After having a look at the beast and understanding the state of the systems back in the day... I plan on passing it on to a Mac lover...would anyone be interested? (Free to a good home!) It comes with original manuals for the machine and Applesoft (even with circuit diagrams and part numbers...) Thanks for any help...
