Open your favourite programme and draw a big black/solid ink square on the
page. Keep sending it to your printer until it is drawing the square without
horizontal lines. In my experience this sometimes takes plenty of goes but
works eventually. The last time it took sevreal sheets to even get a hint of
ink on the page but I got it back to normal eventually.
