Hi Heather I have recently jumped to a new G4 and of course Mac OSX so I am on the new track. I think its an incremental thing, picking up a general orientation and then learning more as I go along. If anything comes up to share do say. Or if you have a question - ask!
My experience of the first few weeks ( in which I upped from Jaguar to Panther) are mixed but I know I have jumped and am getting into it. Overall it is something I am enjoying - though some of X's ways are really frustrating but inherent (the multi user environment with its permissions and privileges etc). all the best Brian > I have just bought a new eMac, and I want to get to grips with OS X > and all the other stuff it can do which my old gear couldn't. > > I could do with a day's training marked in my diary to make sure I > find the time to learn properly. > > I have tried Learn Direct and their advice was (I kid you not) to > 'read the manual'...well, dur..... > > They don't have anything non-PC centred. > > A web search reveals nothing in this part of the country.
