Thanks to you both for the replies.  I had run a google search for Mac/VGA after 
Stuarts initial reply and had found several options, but Maplin did not feature - I'll 
give them a try later as there is a shop "sort of" on the way home from work.

Just out of interest, found the Belkin adapter ranging in price from circa �14 to �39 
(similar in US, $15 - $39) - that's one hell of a variation for such a low cost item.
