should have posted here first as this a UK question - sorry!
Can someone help me work out how to get call waiting to work with a V.92 modem in the UK.
MDD G4 1.25GHz single processor OS 10.2.6 776MB RAM
I have not been able to get any notification on screen or by sound that someone is calling.
I have set the correct V.92 modem options and BT has switched on the call waiting service. I called from my mobile and heard the appropriate message, but got no indication whatsoever on my G4.
I realise that an ISP needs to support 'on hold' options, but I simply want to get the message that a call is there so I can log off. Could this be an ISP issue? Presumably my Appple V.92 modem simply has to recognise the call waiting signal and put a message on screen - or are things more complicated?
Thanks
