None to both. Telewest supply and set-up the modem which connects to 
the Ethernet port on her Lombard and it just works. I haven't had a 
problem (other than one of my own making) for about two years and 
Telewest are OK with Macs, even knowledgeable about OS X. The service 
will be £5 cheaper if she also buys the digital TV/telephone package 
(which is anyway good value in its own right).
