The error code 2 short and 1 long indicates either a problem with the
backlights or the backlight inverter. It's more likely to be the backlight
inverter board failing. This isn't a part that apple makes available to
AASP's, the screen has to be shipped away for repair. The bad news is it
will be an expensive repair. You could try contacting VIS
www.applemacparts.com to see if they could obtain the part. They do supply
other backlight inverters such as for the iBook displays.
