Hi I have a 266 wallstreet also with 512mb memory. it would seem Apple only ever check the machines memory capacity at release with whats available at that time. but as better chips become available they don,t amend the data, the G3 will take 256mb in each slot as long as the lower one is low profile... hope that helps Mark (S)
