Yes, I've got a Belkin access point which I'm using with an Airport card (in my wife's Pismo), an Airport Extreme card (in my Powerbook), a Linksys WPC11 card (in my daughter's Lombard, used with the IOXperts driver), and a Netgear MA521 Cardbus card (in a PC laptop). They all work perfectly. The whole kit & caboodle then goes through a 3Com OfficeConnect ethernet hub to a DLink DSL-504 ADSL router and on to a broadband pipe.

Wifi seems to be a good, functioning standard.

Hi All,

Is it possible (and reliable) to be able to connect an iMac running OSX to a
wireless network which uses a base station other than an airport??
I'm assuming so, just want to check before I spend any money on hardware.

Any info/suggestions would be much appreciated.

TIA

Andy
