We have a Belkin 54g, bought from Dixons, to go with our Speedtouch 530, as we are part wired and part wireless. It all works fine, except that my Wallstreet won't connect from OS 9 and I can't find why, as it is first class from OS X.

Yes they do work but the Airport software is just so nice and as far as I
know, it does not support other routers. Try Netgear, Linksys ... I'm told
(from another list) that D-Link is a nightmare.

Is it possible (and reliable) to be able to connect an iMac running OSX to a
wireless network which uses a base station other than an airport??
I'm assuming so, just want to check before I spend any money on hardware.

Any info/suggestions would be much appreciated.
