Have you tried resetting the power management unit?
There is a small button on the motherboard, if you push that ONCE you problems may be gone.

One of the powermacs at work isnt booting. It's a G4 1Ghz, 52MB RAM, OS 10.2.3 and pressing the power button makes it light up, but as soon as you let go it dims (no chimes or anything).
Any ideas on what's wrong / how to fix it?
