Mellel wasn't one of the ones they reviewed. It was mentioned in the magazine but that may not be on their website.

Well this is what I thought. I was baffled as to why MacUser seemed to miss Mellel out of that assessment when it is clearly superior to Nisus Express which seemed to get the biggest accolades. Adam Engst referred to Mellel on more equal footing in his Write Right article. I have been testing Mellel alongside TextEdit as a prospective replacement for Nisus Writer while holding out for the probable release of a view version of Apple Works. However, new press releases rather suggest that if Apple do anything about AW it is not going to be anytime soon. In fact they seem committed to Microsoft in this area. I cooled off with Mellel for a while because pressure of work dictated that I get things done in TE quickly but latterly I have gone back to looking at Mellel and I think this is the one I will be buying four licenses of. I hope others will check it out as it deserves more attention than granted hitherto. I can live with doing spreadsheets in Appleworks for a while yet.
